Korean Postage Stamp Catalogue 2015-2016

Catalogues and books

For the years 2015-2016 the Korean Philatelic Co. produced the regularly published Korean Postage Stamp Catalogue, the standard catalogue for Korean philately at the moment. The catalogue conforms to the usual setup: postal stamps in the first part of the catalogue, divided in commemorative stamps and regular stamps, and the specialties in the second half.

Cover of the 2015-2016 catalogue:

Shown here are some examples of the stamps as listed in the commemorative stamp listings. Please notice both pages are scans from the original, which is why the “white” is not 100% white. The catalogue itself does not have this problem.

    1. Hi Maynard,
This catalogue can be bought from Korean (online) shops. If you copy-paste this text “대한민국우표도감” and search for it you will find several sellers. In Korea it usually sells at 15.000 won, which I personally think is a steal for a full-colour well printed book of 350+ pages. However, this would probably require a Korean bank account, perhaps not practical for people residing outside Korea.

The other way is to search for the English title on Ebay or Delcampe. Just a few weeks ago a seller was offering it on Ebay but the listing has since ended and it wasn’t renewed. But it might be there again in the near future of course.

Please note that the current edition is the 2018 edition, an example of this can be found here: http://www.cstamp.co.kr/shop/goods/goods_view.php?&goodsno=18540&category=015004

        1. Just got a message from the Ebay seller who used to sell the catalogue and he tells me a new edition will be published in April.

  1. The newest edition (2019) is available, for instance on Ebay. Search for “Korean Postage Stamp Catalogue” and it will show up. Apparently it lists all the (South) Korean stamps up to May 2018.

    1. Thanks Ivo, glad I checked the comments, just ordered it on eBay….it is certainly a bargain at the price. Robert
