The cover dated circa November 1895 is similar to that illustrated in Zirkle’s book on page 91. Both the front, bearing the 1895 first printing 10p. blue tied by the Chemulpo datestamp in black; and a portion of the reverse are illustrated herewith. The reverse bears the crest of the ‘H.M.S.Edgar’, a 12-gun twin-screw launched at Devonport in 1890, of 7350 tons, 12,000 horsepower, and 20.5 knots speed. Her length, beam, and draught were 360ft., 60ft., and 24ft.
