Philatelic history of Korea: About “Old Korea” or Choseon

Old Korea

The Philatelic history of Korea has been well documented. Early on, this was probably due to the “Opening of Korea” and the resulting presence of foreigners from postal operational nations, before the Korean Postal Bureau was created in 1884. Two texts, by two different authors, are shown here. The first example, by Edgar J. Mandel, is available as a scan. The second example, by Dr. James W. Kerr, is shown here in this page.
