KoreaPost has just released new promotional materials promoting stamp collecting as a hobby to Koreans. In the case of KSS members this is of course “preaching to the choir”, we all know what a great hobby philately is. However, KoreaPost is putting this on Facebook for possible newcomers to the hobby. The different images show for instance an office worker looking for a (new) hobby, parents using stamps as a way to teach history and culture to their children and people getting inspiration from stamps to create art while writing in their diary.
Here are the images showing how interesting and how much fun stamp collecting can be:

I wish they would make it easy for people to order new issues from them. In the “olden days”, they had a great system that would allow subscriptions for new issues. Now, it seems, that they will not even tell people from outside of Korea how to order the new issues. Does anyone have an address or website that allows collectors to order new issues from Korea Post?
Funny you should say that, because I get this complaint quite often (several times in the last month alone): “Can you help me, I can’t order stamps from KoreaPost?” The official link is http://koreastamp.go.kr/, but I have had emails about no answer from that website as well. I don’t know what happened, but something has seriously gone wrong in the last few years.
And the weird thing is: it is exactly this service (“stamps send directly to your home”) which is advertised in the promotional materials above…
Buying South Korean stamps is never easy.
1. The link that Ivo provided: http://koreastamp.go.kr will lead you to the English page of K-Stamp, Korean Stamp Portal Service, I tried to order stamps online but failed in the last step.
2. I click the Korean page and it leads me to the https://www.kstamp.go.kr/, but I am told this is an unsafe page and I cannot go any further.
3. I google Korea post and find their Korean page http://www.koreapost.go.kr/kpost/index.
then I choose stamp and it leads me to https://stamp.epost.go.kr/ on the right column there is an ” stamp order” then I reach to the page of https://service.epost.go.kr/stamp.RetrievePostagOrder.postal
and later…. I need to register an account!
