(News from 조선우표사 / Korea Stamp Corporation) On 29 August 2020 the Korea Stamp Corporation issued a stamp series to commemorate the “60th Anniv. of the Establishment of the Diplomatic Relations between the DPRK and the Republic of Cuba”. The image is described by the KSC as “Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, having a firm handshake with Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel Bermudez, President of the Republic of Cuba“.
The text continues: “The DPRK and the Republic of Cuba jointly issued a souvenir sheet to mark the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between the two countries. The joint issue will make contribution to strengthening the traditional ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries working for common cause under the banner of socialism.”
