KPC3759: Love Parents

(News from 우정사업본부 / KoreaPost) On 31 May 2024 KoreaPost issued a stamp issue commemorating parent’s day titled “Love Parents“. The stamp was issued in a minisheet containing 4×4 (16) stamps of 430 won each. The stamps were printed by Royal Joh. Enschede for POSA.

  1. I don’t like the bi-color combination(pale pink and also pale grey-blue) of this stamp.
    In general in recent times, I have never been fascinated by the new issues of Korea.

    1. You are right, these particular stamps are not very attractive. However, unlike many other postal operators who create endless and very expensive series of basically “stickers”, the nice thing about KoreaPost releases is that they pretty much always have a direct link to Korea (Korean culture, language, landscape, etc.). Also, they are really not expensive, which is quite nice as well. But yes, the colours…

  2. We have to reduce the number of printing colors for the most part of
    commemorative stamps. Stamps have very limited space. That’s why
    they look so much frivolous if more than 3-4 colors are adopted. See the
    stamps of 1960s-1970s. They were produced by low-level printing scheme
    only with 2-3 colors, but they do not look like shallow, banal and frivolous.
    The contemporary society nationwide and worldwide is losing cool-headed
    classic touch. I miss the old and good days of philately.
