A Korea Stamp Society Member’s Experiences at PhilaKorea 2025

General Philatelic News

Chairman’s Note: One of my fellow Aussies and Korea Stamp Society members, along with his wife, Paul and Irene Scholtens, were able to attend PhilaKorea 2025. I asked him to write-up his observations as visitor to the event, as I believe his comments would be of interest to all KSS members. The article that follows was sent to me by Paul and I greatly appreciated that he put this together for us.

I am very glad that, with Irene, I was able to attend PhilaKorea 2025. It’s a long way to go to indulge in your hobby but it was well worth it.

The venue was superb with plenty of space and great lighting. No sun intrusion to worry exhibitors. There seemed to be plenty of staff/helpers manning the ticket desk, answering questions, guarding the entry and exit and counting people going in.

  1. Thank you for your visit to Korea and encouraging words. I have presented your short comments along with other
complimentary messages from the commissioners and jurors in the November issue of Woopyo Monthly.
