Until 1976 almost all municipalities in South Korea issued their own locally produced revenue stamps. These were used on all sorts of documents. The revenue stamps usually showed local monuments or other locally important items such as farm produce in agricultural areas.
In the case of 춘성군 (Ch’unsŏng-gun) their 30 won stamp, seen here on a document issued in June 1973, showed a bridge. Opened on 29 December 1972 the bridge was then just 6 months old.
