The South Korea 1999 Christmas and New Year/TB Seal

In 1999 the Korean National Tuberculosis Association (KNTA)’s Christmas and New Year/TB seal program issued two different small sheets of ten seals, in a souvenir sheet format. These 1999 seals are what the KNTA calls the “Constellations of the night sky”. Also, a sheet of twenty seals were issued that have all twenty of the different designs of the two sheets of ten seals.

The 2022 Korea Postage Stamp Catalogue (KPSC) gives the catalogue numbers for the 1999 seals as TCS 428-437 and TCS 438-447, respectively , for the two sheets of ten seals. The sheet of twenty seals is given the number TCS 447a. The KPSC values each of the two small sheets at 8,000 won (US$5.80) and sheet of twenty seals is valued at 16,000 won ($11.60). The individual 1999 seals were sold by the KNTA for 170 won ($0.12), the same as the previous year.
