The August 2026 issue of Woopyo, issue no. 727, was published on 1 August by the Korea Philatelic Federation (한국우취연합). Its contents range from Korean Empire postal administration and the production history of the first Korean stamps to Korean War military mail, post-liberation overprints, international exhibition practice, postal stationery and thematic collecting. Research into Korean postal history occupies the centre of the issue, while reports on international organised philately and several more accessible cultural features provide a broader setting.
The issue is particularly concerned with evidence and interpretation. Several contributors return to original administrative records, contemporary notices, postal markings and surviving covers in order to reconsider accepted accounts. This concern is stated explicitly in the opening opinion column and reappears in studies of the Munwi stamps, Korean Empire post offices and the provisional stamps of 1946. The result is an issue that treats stamps and postal objects not as isolated collectables but as documentary sources.
