The September 2026 issue of Woopyo, published on 1 September by the Korea Philatelic Federation (한국우취연합), has an unusually broad range. Its contents move from current Korean stamp issues and exhibition affairs to detailed studies of Korean postal history, the Munwi stamps, post-Liberation provisional overprints and postal stationery. Alongside these are articles on tourist datestamps, thematic exhibiting, international exhibitions, engraving and art on stamps. The balance is therefore firmly philatelic rather than simply organisational: several contributions work directly from covers, postal regulations, archival documents, sheets and stationery, while others address collecting and exhibiting practice.
Kim Seong-cheol [김성철] opens the issue on page 2 with Reflections on the 2026 Korea Stamp Exhibition (2026 대한민국우표전시회 유감). Rather than offering another formal exhibition report, Kim concentrates on what he considered shortcomings in the presentation of competitive material. Limited space meant exhibits were changed during the exhibition, and he argues that insufficient advance publicity left some collectors arriving when the works they wanted to see were no longer on display. His suggestions include using Seoul Central Post Office as an additional venue, arranging scheduled presentations in which exhibitors explain their collections, and giving more attention to commemorative stamp sales and cancellations.
Pages 3–5 provide the regular Newly Issued Stamps and Postal Datestamps (새로 나오는 우표·우편날짜도장). Among the September issues are the 500-won stamp for the 2026 Yeosu World Island Expo, scheduled for 4 September with a quantity of 420,000, and the 500-won World Maritime Day stamp of 15 September, depicting the Korean and International Maritime Organization flags at Busan harbour and having a stated quantity of 496,000. The pages also catalogue new commemorative and tourist datestamps and include design notes for the earlier 48th UNESCO World Heritage Committee and Robot Taekwon V issues.
