A few years ago I noticed an unusual sheet of the 1940 Korean Christmas seals listed on eBay by a Scandinavian dealer. Some of the collectors of Korean Christmas seals collect full sheets of the seals, as well as full booklets, especially of the early issues from 1932-40. This particular sheet seemed to have the inscription at the bottom of the sheet “Ninth Anniversary of Korean Christmas Seals” obscured by a long blue stripe across the bottom of the sheet. The dealer had guessed it was a “proof”. I bought it at a reasonable price, not knowing what it was.
